Restorative Practitioner (Full-Time)

Primary Responsibilities:

To integrate restorative justice practices in schools, including providing direct services to students, staff, and families. 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Provide restorative interventions with referred youth.

  • Respond to incoming discipline referrals and assess appropriate next steps.

  • Facilitate and co-facilitate Restorative Conversations, Conflict Mediation Circles,Community-Building Circles, Talking Circles, etc. among students and staff. 

  • Conduct circle activities, including: intake assessments, prepare participants, facilitate process, develop agreed-upon plan, contact parents, and conduct follow-up meetings.

  • Model restorative classroom and discipline processes and facilitate classroom circles as requested by staff.

  • Attend school CARE team meetings to build and support practices.

  • Data collection and log entries.

  • Engage in professional development, keep abreast of best school practices and research in the field of Restorative Justice.
